Five persons injured in car accidents

The driver of a car involved in a road accident faces up to two years in jail for leaving the scene and not giving first-aid to an injured person. Tudor Capatana, spokesman for the Traffic Police Division, has told Info-Prim Neo that the accident happened at the intersection of Bucuresti and Ismail streets in Chisinau on Thursday evening. A Mercedes-210 car struck a 21-year-old man who got his leg fractured. The driver left the place of the accident, but was caught several hours later. A man aged 27 lost control of his car, which crashed into a bridge curb in Rublenita village of Soroca district. He was rushed to the hospital with multiple contusions and a concussion. A Volkswagen-Vento and a VAZ collided at an intersection in Floresti town. One of the drivers received serious injuries and was taken to the hospital. A 26-year-old woman sustained injuries when the car she was traveling in collided with another car on Mihai Eminescu St in Chisinau. The five road accidents that happened in Moldova on March 4 resulted in five persons injured.
