The carbonized bodies of two brothers were found in a house in Falesti town by a neighbor alerted by the smell of smoke and traces of fire. Emergencies Service spokeswoman Liliana Puscasu has told Info-Prim Neo that the fire was probably caused by a leakage from a gas cylinder. The fire stopped burning itself, but the two brothers did not manage to seek help. Three more persons were killed in fires during the first days of the new year. A man from Leova town died in a fire caused by a smoldering cigarette. A woman from a village of Orhei district and another one from a village of Leova district were killed in fires caused by sources of open fire.
