A boy aged five, who was left home alone, Monday fell from the ninth floor of an apartment building located in Chisinau. The child’s mother, who is from Bacioi village, came to Chisinau on business and left the boy to wait in the relatives’ apartment. Chisinau Ambulance Service managing doctor Evelina Rusu has told Info-Prim Neo that the boy was admitted to Valentin Ignatenko Hospital with a cranial-cerebral trauma, a concussion, injury to the internal bodies and the backbone. He was lucky to remain alive as he fell on the branches of a tree first. An 11-year-old student was rushed to the same hospital with a more serious cranial-cerebral trauma. He fell from the second floor in the area between the internal stairs of the Bacioi-based High School “Grigore Vieru”. The same day, a man aged 72, who had suffered from severe depression, hanged himself in an apartment in Ciocana district. On Monday and last night, the Chisinau ambulance teams traveled to 762 addresses, dealing with 77 cases of acute viral infection, 23 cases of pneumonia, 65 cases of trauma, 15 deliveries, two strokes and other emergencies.
