A number of airlines cancelled flights to and from Germany owing to the airport strikes that hit the country, IPN reports.
According to the online schedule posted by the Chisinau International Airport, Lufthansa cancelled the flight from Frankfurt to Chisinau of 1:30pm and that from Chisinau to Frankfurt of 2:20pm.
The flights provided by Air Moldova to Frankfurt, of 1pm, and back to Chisinau, of 6:40pm, haven’t been yet cancelled.
On its website, Radio Free Europe’s Moldovan Service said the airport strikes started at 5am on April 10 and will last for about 13 hours and involve ground staff and fire services staff of airports that demand pay increases.
