The flu epidemic level was exceeded 2.2 times. If the number of new cases continues to increase, an epidemic state will be announced in Moldova in several days. The pandemic flu also reached Balti and Orhei, where there were recorded the first cases of infection with A (H1N1), Info-Prim Neo reports. According to a communiqué from the Ministry of Health, 742 new cases of flu have been recorded this week. Of them, 302 cases were reported in Chisinau municipality, 178 cases in Ungheni, while 104 cases in Floresti. Vasile Sohotski, division head at the National Public Health Center, believes that the epidemic state will not be announced the coming days. Most probably, an outbreak of a flu epidemic will occur in the middle of March, when the largest number of cases of infection is expected. More than 11,000 cases of acute viral infections (non-flu) and 27,800 cases of severe respiratory infections have been recorded in Moldova until now. Six persons died from A (H1N1) after developing complications by February 19. In order to avoid infection, specialists recommend eating products that contain vitamin C and garlic and onion, which are antimicrobial, leading a healthy lifestyle, without tobacco and alcohol, avoiding crowded places and contact with sick persons, using masks, washing the hands, and airing the rooms.
