Foreign Ministry presents program of activities dedicated to Europe Day

Europe Day will be celebrated in Moldova by a series of events themed “Integration through Communication”, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration says in a communiqué, quoted by Info-Prim Neo. Debates themed “Moldova-EU Relations” will be held in a number of high schools and universities between May 4 and 8. During the same period, the European Interactive Centers “Pro-Europa” will organize different activities. A race by students from Chisinau schools will be held in Valley of the Roses Park in Chisinau on May 8. The winners of the drawing contest “Message for Europe” will be awarded on May 9. On the same day, there will be held an exhibition of handicrafts titled “Europe at Home”, while young persons from the National Center for Children and Youth will give a chamber music concert. The European Week will culminate with a concert by singers that represented Moldova at the Eurovision song contest – Natalia Barbu, Geta Burlacu, and Zdob si Zdub. Sun Stroke Project, Olia Tira, Alexa and Snails will also perform at the concert that will be held in the National Opera Square on May 10 starting at 19.00. The events dedicated to Europe Day in Moldova are organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration in cooperation with the Delegation of the European Commission to Moldova with support from the international partners – UNDP Moldova, EURASIA Foundation and the International Organization for Migration.
