The foreigners involved in development or technical assistance projects in Moldova, based on an international treaty, will be exempted from paying the state tax. A bill to this effect was passed by Parliament in the final reading, IPN reports.
According to the bill authors, it is about the exemption from the state tax for documents or services provided by the authorities and public institutions of the Republic of Moldova. The courts of law are an exception.
Also, the exemption applies to foreign companies and independent experts delegated or financed directly by the implementing organizations, except for cases when the contracted experts live in Moldova.
The exemption also refers to other taxes and payments for goods and vehicles delivered for offices and to the recovery of money from financing, guarantees and similar agreements.
