The body of a 36-year-old man was discovered on a street in Cogalniceni village of Rezina district on April 25. The man had his neck cut. Contacted by Info-Prim Neo, deputy police commissioner of Rezina Vitalie Coiban said the body was found near the victim's house by a passerby. The man is a former police officer. He is the father of three children and managed a pig farm in the village. The police arrested a suspect. He was put under arrest for 72 hours. The culprit is liable to up to 25 years in jail or life imprisonment. According to the Ministry of the Interior, 130 offenses were reported in Moldova during April 23-25. They include four murders and 52 thefts, including two car thefts. Six offenses were committed by minors or with the involvement of minors. The 35 road accidents that happened on Easter resulted in nine deaths and 54 persons injured.
