The formula for calculating the annuity for trainers of professional athletes is to be reviewed. More exactly, the annuity will be set according to the data concerning the average monthly official salary communicated by the National Bureau of Statistics for the previous year. The Government approved a relevant bill that was proposed by PAS MPs Natalia Davidovici and Lilian Carp, IPN reports.

In the same connection, the Government proposed that the bill should be supplemented with an article providing that the given law takes effect when it is published in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Moldova, while the Government, within a month of the coming into force of the given law, will adjust its normative documents to this law.

It is noted that the National Bureau of Statistics no longer produces data about the average monthly official salary for each separate month and provides only quarterly and annual data. Therefore, the average monthly official salary communicated by the National Bureau of Statistics for the year that precedes the year when the annuity is paid will be used to calculate the given allowance.
