Four courts committed themselves to obtain the Model Court status during the second stage of the USAID Model Court Project that was launched on Monday. These are the Drochia, Hâncești, Strășeni and Criuleni Courts, IPN reports.
The second stage of the Model Court Project was launched by the United States Agency for International Development and will last by January 2027.
During this period, the courts will benefit from the project’s support to improve the efficiency and quality of their work according to the standards of the International Framework for Court Excellence and the European Commission for the Efficiency of Justice.
The Bălți, Ungheni and Edineț Courts obtained the Model Court status in September 2023. The project will continue to encourage the implementation of the Model Court concept at local level and to support the expansion of this approach at national level, inspiring other courts to adopt practices centered on citizens’ expectations.
