The body of a 66-year-old woman was discovered Sunday, June 20, in the Prut River. It’s supposed the woman drowned and has been missing since June 17, Info-Prim Neo learned from the Service for Civil Protection and Emergencies. According to press officer Liliana Puscasu, the same day the body of a 30-year-old man was discovered in a lake in Rascani town. His identity remains unknown and the police are investigating the case. A young man died at only 22 years of age, after drowning in Nistru River, near Tudora village, Stefan Voda district. In Varzaresti, Nisporeni district, another family will be mourning after the villagers discovered the body of a drowned 23-year-old man. In 2010, 64 people, including 14 under age, drowned in Moldova.
