Four Romanies from Romania caught selling counterfeit cookware in Moldova

Four Romanian Romanies face trial for swindle. Adrian Jovmir, the head of the Traffic Police Division's press office, has told Info-Prim Neo that the four Romanies aged between 22 and 39 were selling counterfeit cookware under a well-known brand. A set of cookware was sold for €300 – 500, depending on the number of items. The vendors traveled in a luxurious BMW 530 and offered the potential buyers a bag with spoons, forks and knifes as a bonus. A number of Chisinau residents paid the money for the cookware as they believed it was genuine. Some of them submitted complaints to the police when they realized the cookware was fake as it was becoming black when used. The suspects are investigated on the outside. They face seven to ten years in jail for swindle. The persons swindled by the Romanies can contact the Centru Police Commissariat on 27-22-57.
