The French meal voucher provider Edenred started work in Moldova. The launch ceremony was held on April 25 during a lunch break in order to highlight the necessity of meal vouchers that were designed to contribute to instituting correct eating habits among the population, with a positive impact on health, IPN reports.
The ceremony held under the theme “Stop! It’s lunch time!” involved representatives of public institutions, business community, commercial partners, etc. The representatives of Edenred Moldova prepared food for these.
“The lunch break is not only a physical necessity for being healthy. It is a social practice that brings the people together. That’s why we urge the employees to have a lunch break daily. It is an ordinary gesture that should be made part of the daily routine,” said Dana Santejudean, director general of Edenred Romania and Moldova.
Arnaud Erulin, Edenred Chief Operating Officer for Northern Europe, Central Europe, France and Belgium, said the Republic of Moldova is the 45th country where the company is now present. “I’m convinced that the meal voucher will contribute to enhancing the attractiveness of the economy and will enable to increase the productivity of salary earners, encouraging healthy eating, as it is done in Romania, the Czech Republic and Slovakia,” stated Arnaud Erulin.
Valentina Buliga, head of the Parliaments’ commission on social protection, health and family, welcomed the appearance of the French investor on the Moldovan market. “I’m proud that the Republic of Moldova became an attractive country for such an internationally renowned company. The meal voucher is a social and health instrument that forms part of the social package intended for the population. I call on the Moldovan enterprises to make use of this innovation,” stated the MP.
France’s Ambassador in Chisinau Pascal Le Deunff said he will do his best to attract other foreign investments to the Republic of Moldova.
