The National Agency for Energy Regulation announced the fuel price ceilings for the next two weeks. Thus, as of January 10 the price ceiling for a liter of gasoline will be by 0.68 lei higher, while for a liter of diesel fuel by 0.60 lei higher, IPN reports.
A liter of gasoline “95” will cost at most 18.22 lei, as opposed to 17.54 lei until now. A liter of diesel fuel will be sold for not more than 16.32 lei, as against 15.72 lei during the past two weeks.
According to the Agency, as of January 10, 2018 the price ceilings for retailing the main oil products will include the new excise duties for this year, in accordance with the Tax Code. From January 1 this year, the excise duty for a tonne of gasoline rose from 4,560 to 4,961 lei, up 8.79% on 2017, while for a tonne of diesel fuel from 1,926 lei to 2,092 lei, up 8.62% on 2017.
