The General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations received two ambulances from the United States, IPN reports.
In the handover ceremony, the Inspectorate’s chief, colonel Alexandru Oprea thanked the people of the U.S. for the provided support. He underlined the importance of outfitting the Inspectorate with modern vehicles and emergency medical equipment for the rescuers and firefighters to perform successful operations and save human lives.
Alexandru Oprea noted that the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations in time managed to develop a strategic and sustainable partnership with the people of the U.S. and their contribution to ensuring the security of the Moldovan citizens is essential.
The donation was made by the NGO Alpha Aid. The value of the ambulances is over €47,000.
