“People’s expectations are great and I’m firmly convinced that the police can meet these. The police are receptive to people’s needs and show professionalism and care in the relations with the people,” said the chief of the General Police Inspectorate Alexandru Panzari. In a message transmitted on the occasion of the 26th National Police Day, the Inspectorate’s head saysd he wants the people’s perception of the police to change during the next few years so that they feel safe and have confidence in the police, IPN reports.
“This year, the Police of the Republic of Moldova celebrate 26 years of its foundation. In the period, all of you – current employees and veterans – showed devotion, courage and commitment to the profession of police, ensuring the security of the state and each citizen. I highly appreciate the perseverance and dedication you show daily in the activity of the police, which is not at all easy. I thank your families for patience and understanding given that the time you should spend with your dear people you often devote to work,” Alexandru Panzari says in his message.
Head of the National Patrolling Inspectorate Livii Baziuc also transmitted a congratulation message, underlining the importance of the police mission. “On this occasion, I congratulate you on the results and efforts made to fulfill the functional duties for improving the performance indicators and ensuring an atmosphere of order, safety and social peace. I express my appreciation especially for the constructive cooperation that daily involves responsibility and integrity, competence and courage. I wish you new accomplishments, patience and perseverance in fulfilling your duties for the benefit and prosperity of the police force that gains the people’s confidence, respect and support,” says Livii Baziuc’s message.
