Azeri dramatist and writer Rustam Ibraghimbecov proposed a movie script to the Union of Filmmakers of Moldova, where the main part is played by French actor Gérard Depardieu. The Union’s chairman Eugen Sobor has told Info-Prim Neo that the movie is about a foreign winemaker who wants to cooperate with Moldovan winemakers. According to Eugen Sobor, last year Rustam Ibraghimbecov was in Moldova and visited a number of wine cellars. He said that he started to think about making a movie in these cellars long ago. “We accepted the project and are now looking for investors. A sum of US$2 million is needed for the purpose. If we do not find this money by the end of the year, we will lose the project,” said Eugen Sobor. He also said that the movie may be directed by Sergiu Prodan and the cast will include Moldovan actors too.
