The German company Coroplast intends to create about 1,500 jobs in Moldova during the next few years. The investments are planned to total about €10 million. Prime Minister Pavel Filip on July 26 discussed the measures promoted by the Government to support the business sector with representatives of the German company, IPN reports.
According to the executive’s press service, the Premier spoke about the next steps that will be taken to further improve the business sector and to facilitate foreign investment in Moldova. “We are aware that we must attract investment for developing the country and for making it attractive,” stated Pavel Filip.
The German investors said that as a result of analysis of markets and of the normative framework for regulating the entrepreneurial activity in the countries of Eastern Europe, the company found Moldova attractive for investment.
At the first stage, the German investors will focus on the implementation of the investment project in Causeni. It plans to build a hall of about 8,500 square meters in area for producing cables from plastic. Coroplast aims to supply national and foreign producers with cables. The given sector in Moldova is the most dynamic one and employs over 7,000 employees.
