A family from Ghidighici commune of Chisinau municipality was robbed by two individuals who entered the house with a Winchester gun and with balaclavas on their heads. The robbers cruelly beat the owner of the house and her sons, demanding money from them, IPN reports.
According to the Chisinau Police Division, the robbery was committed in the evening of March 14. The police arrested two suspects aged 24 and 27. They are cousins and are residents of Sireti village of Straseni district. They had been earlier tried for theft and robbery.
It was established that the men threatened the victims with the gun and escorted them out, where they ill-treated them. The 43-year-old woman was sent to a female neighbor to ask for money, being supervised by one of the men from a distance. She told her neighbor that one of her sons was ill and needed medical care. The woman gave her 1,000 lei.
Afterward, the aggressors entered again the house and raked around. When the woman’s husband entered the yard at about 12 midnight, the individuals ran through the window. They stole two mobile phones, 1,600 lei, silver items and other things. The damage was assessed at about 6,000 lei.
Currently, the two suspects are investigated under arrest for robbery and face six to ten years in jail.
