A 16-year-old girl was killed in a road accident in Dubasari district on August 1. Dana Andronic, PR specialist of the Traffic Police Division, has told Info-Prim Neo that the accident happened on the central street of Ustia village close to midnight. The girl was walking with her boyfriend of the same age when a speeding Audi A-6 struck them. The girl died on the spot, while the boy was hospitalized with serious injuries. The 25-year-old driver did not stop to help, but was soon identified. A Fiat driven by a 16-year-old boy from Tataresti, Cahul, went out of control and crashed into an obstacle. The teen suffered a leg wound, while an occupant of the same age sustained a cranial-cerebral trauma. A girl aged 17 was hit by the mirror of a car in Comrat town. She was rushed to the hospital with an arm fracture. A Moskvich driven by a 22-year-old man collided head-on with a Renault driven by a man aged 32 on the Chisinau-Tiraspol road. The driver of the Moskvich, his 20-year-old wife and their son aged two and two occupants of the other car, including a one-year-old boy, suffered different injuries. The children were taken to the Mother and Child Hospital with concussions and cranial-cerebral traumas. One person was killed and 22 hurt in 14 accidents that happened on the national roads yesterday and last night.
