Girl receives burns when trying to start fire with gasoline
A 15-year-old girl from Seliste village of Nisporeni district tried to start the fire in the stove with gasoline and received burns on her face.
Emergencies Service spokeswoman Liliana Puscasu has told Info-Prim Neo that the girl splashed gasoline on the wood. When she struck a match, a flame burned her face. The girl was taken to the Nisporeni district hospital.
Liliana Puscasu reiterated that the use of highly flammable substances for setting fire is dangerous. The firefighters warn the population to check the stoves, clean and whitewash them if necessary, and to be careful when using electrical devices.
According to statistics, 80% of the fires that happen in winter result from the incorrect use of heating sources.
