A 43-year-old man from Grimancauti village of Briceni district is suspected of killing his godparents. The two families ran a business together. They rented a local pond. According to the Ministry of the Interior's press office, on March 22 the godson went to his godparents to discuss matters related to their business. The men started to quarrel. The godson went away, but returned with a hunter's gun and fired it at his godfather. The bullet penetrated also the godmother who came between the two. The grandparents died on the spot. The man admitted his guilt. If he is found guilty of intentional murder, he will get up to 25 years in jail or life. The same day, two young men aged 26 and 27 from the same village died in a road accident.
