The Government of Moldova will initiate negotiations with the Israeli Government on the temporary employment of workers from Moldova in certain sectors of the Israeli economy, Info-Prim Neo reports. Minister of Labor ans Social Protection Valentina Buliga noted that, as of early 2011, there were 6,400 Moldovans working in Israel and only 316 of them had employment contracts registered with the Employment Agency. This cooperation among the two governments will ensure that Moldovan workers' rights in Israel are respected, said the Minister. She revealed that similar negotiations are underway with other countries as well, in particular those where significant numbers of Moldovan migrant workers exist, to ensure a certain degree of social protection for them.
