The executive approved two bills to ratify the Decisions of the Council of the CIS Heads of State on the plan of action for celebrating the 70th anniversary of the victory over fascism and on the institution of a common jubilee medal, IPN reports.

On this occasion, there will be staged military parades, meetings with veterans, international conferences and visits by veterans to monuments in the CIS member states. The plan also envisions measures to solve the social problems of veterans and to enable the veterans to receive sanatorium treatment. The veterans will be able to use telephone services and to travel by all means of transport free of charge during the celebrations.

There will be instituted a jubilee medal “70 years of the end of World War II” that will be conferred on veterans. In Moldova there are 2,150 veterans.
