The Government of Moldova will allocate about 100 million lei for buying snowplows and equipment for spreading antiskid material. Minister of Transport and Road Infrastructure Anatol Salaru said all the districts will be provided with such pieces of machinery as this winter taught us a serious lesson, Info-Prim Neo reports. ”About 90% of the available equioment is old, dating from the Brezhnev era. Some of the district have only by one truck for spreading antiskid material and cannot cope with the difficulties when there is ice on the roads. Many districts have no such trucks. This year, we intend to purchase snowplows and other equipment with at least 100 million lei and renew the existing machinery during 3-4 years,” Salarus said.
