Govt. strengthens capacities of Interior Ministry to insure public order
The Moldovan Government has changed a decision of the Parliament, decreasing the effective of the National Army from 6,500 to 6,300 units, by transferring them to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Info-Prim Neo reports
Valentin Zubic, a deputy minister for interior, explains the transfer by the need to strengthen the capacities of the police services to insure the public order, especially in cases of mass protests.
The Government added 150 units to the Interior Ministry's contingent from police commissariats. According to Zubic, these units will be transferred to the special destination brigade “Fulger.”
