Seven rural businesses obtained grants varying between 50,000 and 80,000 lei in the framework of the project “Amity for Tourism”. The winners represent the tourism sector and have potential and wish to develop local tourism, IPN reports.

“Rural households, rural homes, national pensions, localities and tourism businesses are places where traditions and history are present, while the people who are behind these places reinvent the notion of rural tourism so as to offer their visitors the possibility of living experiences inspired by traditions,” said the National Inbound and Domestic Tourism Association.

The pension “La Bocana” got a grant of 80,000 lei for putting up a closed belvedere for recreational activities. A similar grant was given to the tourist center “Poarta Neamului” for building a recreational area with two platforms for terraces and for greening and laying out the yard.

“Village Park Saharna-Țiglău” gained 70,000 lei for setting up a Nistru observation platform with traditional elements carved in wood by craftsman from Rezina Mihai Cotelea and with traditional stone elements.

A sum of 80,000 lei was granted to the Hometown Association “Ciuciulea Vatră de dor”. The money will go to place road signs to facilitate access to tourist facilities and to build a traditional gate at the entrance to the Natives’ Park and set up benches on the main alleys of the Park.

The Nisporeni mayor’s office won a grant of 70,000 lei for setting up a tourist stop with a wooden gazebo and swing in the local observation point that is situated in the highest point of Nisporeni town. The pension “La nea Ion” will use the gained 50,000 lei to purchase bicycles for children and grownups for diversifying services. The Fetești Tourist Center won 70,000 lei for creating physical and virtual infrastructure for amateurs of cycling, hiking and running.

The total value of the grants is 500,000 lei. The money was provided by a business entity.
