70 million lei are to be spent on road maintenance during the 2012-2013 winter season. 50 million out of the aforementioned will be allocated for national roads, and 20 million for the local ones. The sum is 4 million lei greater than last winter, reports Info-Prim Neo. According to a communique from the Ministry of Transport and Road Infrastructure, winter maintenance of one kilometer of national road will cost about 15,000 lei, and 3,400 lei for one km of local road. 80,000 tons of anti-slide material were deposited for this period, of which 20,000 tons of technical salt. The Ministry of Transports and Road Infrastructure allocated 66 million lei for the 2011-2012 winter season, and 47 million lei for the previous season.
