The candidate for mayor of Chisinau of the Green Ecologist Party Victor Stratila aims to transform Chisinau into a clean, green, presentable and comfortable capital city. On April 25, the candidate officially started his election campaign in a news conference given in Europe Square in the central park of Chisinau, IPN reports.
Victor Stratila intends to keep and extend the green areas, to immediately stop construction works in yards of apartment buildings, in green areas and other public places. Among the objectives of the candidate are also to repair the streets and sidewalks so that they are not dangerous to people and cars, to rehabilitate and extend the cycling tracks and to promote local and national tourist attractions.
The candidate of the Greens will plead for replacing the current Soviet management system applied in Chisinau with a European one. He will support and develop education, health and culture, will plead for offering dwellings to young specialists and sufficient financing so as to exclude the collection of money from parents and for allotting budget funds for renovating education, cultural and health facilities.
Victor Stratila promises to make effort to exclude the selfish dictatorship of parties in the administration of Chisinau municipality so as to establish good cooperation relations with the central bodies of the state, for the benefit of the citizens. He aims to review and assess the corruption risks of the legal framework that governs the activity of the City Hall so as to exclude ambiguities and interpretations of the existing legislation.
Victor Stratila is a lawyer by profession and earlier held the post of vice president of the National Integrity Commission. He is a member of the Lawyers Union of the Republic of Moldova and of the Association of Psychologists and Psychotherapists of the Republic of Moldova.
