A number of 30 officers, sub-officers and soldiers of the Company of the Guard of Honor of the National Army will take part in the Parade that will be mounted in Kiev on the occasion of the Independence Day of Ukraine on August 24. The Moldovan contingent will march on the Khreshchatyk Boulevard in Kiev alongside service members from 15 countries, IPN reports.
According to the Ministry of Defense, the National Army’s contingent will be led by Major Vasile Ojoga, while the national flag at the parade will be carried by first sergeant Valerii Bat.
The Republic of Moldova takes part in the military parade in Ukraine for the second consecutive year.
