The employees of a security and protection agency are investigated for beating a man near a filling station in Ialoveni town. The Ialoveni District Prosecutor’s Office has announced the initiation of a criminal investigation, IPN reports.

The incident occurred on the evening of August 26 as a result of a spontaneous conflict between the security guards and the man. They kicked and punched him repeatedly.

The security guards are investigated for inhuman and degrading treatment. The police are to elucidate all the circumstances of case in order to establish all the persons involved and their degree of guilt.

“The Prosecutor’s Office will not tolerate acts of torture or other ill-treatment under any circumstances. All notifications and indications regarding such acts will be dealt with in the most serious way and the investigations will be carried out promptly and impartially, in accordance with the legal provisions,” reads a press release of the Prosecutor’s Office.
