A man from Balti town was arrested for firing near a bar where he was amusing himself, IPN reports, quoting the General Police Inspectorate.

The police established that an inebriated local man aged 34 fired several shots from a pistol as a result of a conflict with persons from the bar. He then left the place. Nobody was hurt.

The man was arrested shortly afterward. He accepted his blame and was taken to the inspectorate for questioning. If he is found guilty of hooliganism, he will serve three to seven years in jail.

A shooting incident also occurred at the Chisinau Northern Bus Station, where an individual threatened with a gun an employee of the station in the evening of January 11. The man aged 27 turned out to be from Straseni district. Called to the spot, the police seized the man’s gun that was kept legally.
