The National House of Social Insurance said that 5,926 applications for reexamining the old-age pension have been received during four days. It was determined that 13,575 pensioners who started to receive the old-age pension after January 1, 1999 are entitled to have their pension reexamined, IPN reports.

The largest  number of applications, 945, were submitted to the Botanica local house of social insurance of Chisinau. The Râșcani local office received 525 applications, while the Centru, Buiucani and Ciocana local office by 400 applications. The Bălți local office so far accepted about 300 applications.

The local houses of social insurance as of July 9 will work between 7am and 5pm. Houses’ employees will also work on the Saturdays of July 11 and July 18.

The National House of Social Insurance warns that those who for different reasons will not manage to file the given application by the end of July will be able to submit applications for the reassessment of the old-age pension the next months too. The new rights to pension are provided starting with the month coming after the month the application and necessary documents are submitted to the local house of social insurance.

Since July 1, 2020, the pensioners who started to receive the old-age pension after January 1, 1999 and have an insurance period of at least ten years can have their pension reviewed.
