The first mandatory health insurance policies for 2013 are available for sale at the Moldova Mail outlets and at the territorial agencies of the National Health Insurance Company, Info-Prim Neo reports. The National Health Insurance Company said in a press release the policies are available for a single premium to landlords and tenants, founders of individual enterprises, patent holders, farmland owners, notaries, lawyers and other groups who are not employed or self-employed. The single premium for 2013 is 3,318 lei. However, a 50% discount is in place for landlords and tenants, founders of individual enterprises, patent holders and other groups until March 31, cutting the price to 1,659 lei. Farmland owners will enjoy a 75% discount, meaning they will pay only 829.5 lei, if they buy the policy until October 31. No discounts are available for notaries and lawyers.
