The hearing concerning the mortgaging of the first-floor of the National Clinical Hospital was postponed until November. The Centru Court decided to put off the meeting at the request of one of the lawyers, IPN reports.
Anticorruption prosecutor Ruslan Botnaru said after the meeting that the examination of the case goes on. The defense has the right to make such a request, which will be considered. When all the requests are analyzed, the Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office will present its position. The prosecution has enough evidence to prove the blame of the defendants.
The criminal case involves former minister of health Andrei Usatyi and other former functionaries from the health sector. It was stated at the beginning of 2013, after a number of areas of the National Clinical Hospital were mortgaged to get loans. The suspects face up to 10 years in jail.
