The decision to allocate up to 71.306,2 million lei to the limited liability company “Arena Națională” (“National Arena”) was discussed by the Parliament’s commission on public finance control on July 7, IPN reports.

The decision to allocate funds was recently approved by the Government. In this regard, there were questioned representatives of the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure, the Public Property Agency and the Ministry of Finance. The 71.306,2 million lei was allocated for recouping the investment made by the private company in the building process and for raising the share capital of SRL “Arena Națională”.

The commission members asked for additional information about the implementation of the public-private partnership contract for designing and building the polyvalent arena of national interest (National Arena), including the feasibility study, the list of those who were responsible for negotiating the contract, the risks existing in the project implementation process, etc.
