In three days, the beneficiaries of social compensation for heating bills will be able to receive payments for three months out of five afforded by the law, Finance Minister Veaceslav Negruta told a news conference today, Info-Prim Neo reports. The minister said the first installment of the non-reimbursable loan offered by DFID to Moldova has already been granted and all the recipients of relief payments – about 250,000 persons – will receive them by the end of the week. The payment is 130 lei for each of the three months, amounting to 60 million lei in total. The remainder will be doled out at the start of the next heating season. At the same news conference, Minister Negruta said the farmers, to whom the government owes 213 million lei, will have their VAT refunded for the final months of the last year, which will be right on time for seasonal farming works.
