The allowances paid to participants in the war for defending the territorial integrity and independence of the Republic of Moldova and in the war in Afghanistan and in other states will be by 200 lei higher as of January 1, 2021, as the Cabinet decided on November 11, IPN reports.

Obeying the principle of social equity, the monthly state allowance for persons who remained with disabilities as a result of fighting and for persons who were conferred medals and orders for assiduous work and impeccable military service behind the front during World War II will rise by 100 lei, said Minister of Health, Labor and Social Protection Viorica Dumbrăveanu.

The costs for implementing the given decision were earmarked by the medium-term budgetary framework for 2021- 2023 and the 2021 draft state budget law that are to be examined and approved in the nearest future.
