The State Tax Service has reported higher amounts collected into the national public budget in the first two months of this year. In January – February, there was accumulated a sum of over 4 billion lei, by about 250 million lei more than planned, IPN reports.

In a press release, the Service says that 1.7 billion lei was collected into the state budget in the period. This is by 119 million lei or 7.31% more than projected.

A sum of 1.5 billion lei was collected into the state social insurance budget. The amount is by almost 120 million lei or 8.24% more than planned.

Almost 500 million lei was accumulated into the mandatory health insurance funds, up 33 million lei or 7.3%.

The amounts collected into the budgets of the territorial administrative units came to approximately 400 million lei.
