The one-time child birth allowance will rise by 658 lei as of January 1, 2019 to 6,303 lei. The allowance for looking after a child for socially uninsured persons will increase by 100 lei to 640 lei a month, IPN reports.

According to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection, the monthly support allowance for looking after twins or more children born at the same time up to the age of three will rise by 50 lei, from 270 to 320 lei.

The pensions lower than the minimum substance level for the first half of 2018, which is 1,589 lei, will increase by 10% as of January 1. The old-age pensions set before January 1, 1999 to persons who work or worked after retirement for 15 years will be recalculated.

The monthly allowance for 1,250 students who temporarily remained without parental care and continue to study at vocational education institutions and universities in 2019 will be raised to the minimum substance level. The disability and successor’s pensions will be increased by 200-400 lei.
