Hincesti police chief suspended
Victor Moraru, the police commissar of Hincesti district, and another officer were suspended from duty after a scandal in a public house, the Ministry of the Interior announced.
According to the MoI, on November 3 Moraru and one of his colleagues had an aggressive behavior and used profanity while being involved in an argument at a Hincesti public house.
The Ministry initiated an internal inquiry, accusing the commissar of compromising the reputation of the police. “The Ministry of the Interior confirms that it has zero tolerance towards the officers who disrespect the legislation and the Police Officer's Ethics Code”, the MoI said on its official website.
Victor Moraru was not immediately available for comments.
