Holy Fire will reach Chisinau on Saturday evening
The Holy Fire will be brought from Jerusalem to Chisinau by His Holiness Vladimir, Metropolitan Bishop of Chisinau and all Moldova, Archpriest Vadim Cheibas of the Moldovan Metropolitan Church, and Archpriest Veaceslav Spac of the Saint Bishop Nicolae Monastery in Condrita, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to Archpriest Vadim Cheibas, the Moldovan delegation will fly to Jerusalem on Thursday, April 1, and will return on Saturday evening, at 8 P.M. From the God's Birth Cathedral in Chisinau, the fire will be distributed to churches and monasteries all over Moldova.
The Holy Fire is described by Christians as a miracle that occurs every year at the Church of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem on Holy Saturday. It is considered by many to be the longest-attested annual miracle in the Christian world. The Holy Fire is brought to such Orthodox countries as Russia, Greece, Serbia, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Syria and Moldova every year by special flights, being received with honors by state leaders at the respective airports.
