A man aged 48 was rushed to the hospital with multiple burbs as a result of an explosion that occurred in his house in Samurza village of Taraclia district in the afternoon of January 22, IPN reports.

According to the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service, the rescuers were called by a neighbor. When on the scene, the firefighters established that the blast occurred in the kitchen and this was destroyed, but no fire started.

The house owner suffered head and hand burns and was taken to the Taraclia District Hospital by an ambulance.

The circumstances and exact cause of the explosion are yet to be found out. It is alleged that the gas equipment was used incorrectly.
