Human rights to be taught online
The Human Rights House Network, the Human Rights Embassy and the Rehabilitation Center for Torture Victims “Memoria” are launching a distance learning project centering on the human rights. At the first stage, there will be trained 25 participants selected on a contest basis, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to the mentioned organizations, the training courses are intended for lawyers, including from Transnistria, jurists of human rights organizations and for university teachers.
The persons who will take part in the project during a year will benefit from theoretical and practical training in implementing the conception of human tights and the international human rights protection standards at national and international levels, including at the European Court of Human Rights and the United Nations Commission on Human Rights.
Distance learning represents the main communication method. All the teaching materials designed for this program will be published on the Internet platform CMS Moodle. Russian is the work language at all the stages.
The deadline for applications is February 5. The application forms can be left on the Human Rights Embassy’s website www.humanrightsembassy.org.
The project is implemented simultaneously in Azerbaijan, Belarus, Moldova, Russia and Ukraine. The graduates of the program will receive a special certificate showing that they completed the course “International Law in Advocacy”.
