Hunters and Fishermen Society details hunting conditions
Hunting in Moldova is not allowed without three obligatory documents: the membership card of the Hunters and Fishermen Society, the hunting permit and the permit for holding firearms.
The hunting permit costs 351 lei, while the dues to the Hunters and Fishermen Society – 50 lei per season, the organization’s president Oleg Ciocoi said, quoted by Info-Prim Neo.
Hunting is allowed only on Saturday and Sunday and on public holidays.
The hunting limits for the season that opens on August 15 and closes on October 3 are: 45,000 pigeons, 32,000 ducks, bald coots and grouses, 14,000 pheasants and 5,300 quails. The hunting of
spotted deer, elks and roebucks during the 2009- 2010 season is banned. The hunting of foxes is not restricted. The hunting season for wild boars opens on November 1 and closes in December. The hunting limit for boars is 1,021, while for geese - 2,500.
The hunting team will include 12 hunters and 10 beaters. They must have licenses and permits allowing to enter the wood. Before starting the hunt, the teams will be instructed. The hunters will confirm this fact by putting their signature on the permit.
