SA “Moldovagaz” will initiate the reduction of natural gas tariffs for end-users starting with this September, said President Igor Dodon, who had a meeting with the president of the Administration Board of Moldovagaz Vadim Ceban, IPN reports.

“We considered the problems related to the supply of gas and, in general, Moldova’s energy security. We also discussed the initiation of negotiations with “Gazprom” concerning the signing of a three-year-contract for the supply of gas to our country. There are preconditions for reducing the natural gas tariffs for consumers in the fourth quarter of 2020,” President Dodon posted on Facebook.

The sides discussed the adjustment of the investment and gasification program for 2020 and the necessity of increasing the planned sum by 34 million lei, from 18 million lei to 52 million lei.
