The first premises for a diplomatic mission to be ever built from scratch by the Republic Moldova abroad will be in Turkey's capital Ankara. Moldovan Prime Minister Vlad Filat participated today in the cornerstone laying ceremony for the future embassy building, Info-Prim Neo learned from a press release of the Government.
“Moldova needs its own premises for its Embassy in Turkey, considering how fast the bilateral relationship between our countries have been developing lately. In this regard, the Moldovan diplomatic mission here has strategic tasks to pursue”, stated the Prime Minister.
Moldova's Ambassador to Turkey Igor Bolboceanu presented to the Prime Minister the design of the premises which was done by Moldovan architects. The complex will include guest rooms and a sports ground, among others.
Moldova has been granted ownership of the land where the Embassy will stand.
