International Bach Chamber Music Festival to take place in Chisinau
Chisinau will host for the first time the International Bach Chamber Music Festival at the end of March. The lovers of classical music will be able to watch four concerts at the Organ Hall during March 25 and 31. The organizers of the event say the festival renders homage to a great composer, Info-Prim Neo reports.
“As any other genius, Bach created works that were above time and space. His music is a neuralgic point that touches the strings of the soul,” said the Organ Hall’s head Larisa Zubco.
The festival opens on March 25 with a chamber concert by French trumpet player Bernard Soustrot, the National Chamber Orchestra, violinists, flute players and pianists. The lovers of jazz may listen to a program of music by Germany’s Quintessence Saxophone Quintet.
An organ music concert will be held by Poland’s Hanna Dys. Mezzo-soprano Sylwia Zlotkowska from Poland, who is a laureate of many international contests, will also give a recital.
The festival is held under the auspices of the Premier’s wife Sanda Filat, who voiced hope that this festival will become a tradition that will bring us closer to Bach’s music.
The concert will start at 6pm. Tickets will cost between 30 and 100 lei.
