The director of the International Express Recruit Ability Dumitru Jioara was arrested by officers of the Anticorruption Center on suspicion he swindled over 1 000 000 lei, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communiqué from the Center. About 40 students said they paid large sums of money to the company for finding them employment in the U.S. When they arrived in the U.S., the young people realized the employment company did not exist. The conditions of the contract have not been respected and the students demand that they be paid back their money. The students who lodged complains with the Anticorruption Center say the head of International Express Recruit Ability requested money from them for scheduling appointments at the U.S. Embassy, obtaining visas, and paying for the contract, the plane ticket and health insurance. If the court finds him guilty, Dumitru Jioara will serve seven to ten years behind bars and will lose the right to hold a particular post or carry out a particular activity for a period of up to fives years.
