The bill to ratify the grant agreement with Japan for implementing the project “Conservation agriculture, development of a sustainable soil management system in the Republic of Moldova” was approved by the Cabinet on May 24, IPN reports.

The agreement envisions the allocation of a grant worth US$4.8 million for developing conservation agriculture in the Republic of Moldova, in particular for purchasing agricultural equipment and machinery.

The project will be managed by the 2KR Increase of Food Production Project Implementation Unit during two years of the coming into force of the accord.
